In August 2019, Fred resumed his chaplaincy training with Healthcare Chaplains Ministry Association, working toward certification as a HCMA Certified Clinical Chaplain, with plans (God willing) to complete his Master of Ministry Degree in December 2020, and HCMA Board Certification in early 2021. In August 2019, Fred was accepted by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Rapid Response Team (BGEARRT) as one of their Volunteer Chaplains. Why choose HCMA and BGEARRT training at the same time? Fred feels that there is much to learn from both organizations, and knowledge and experience from both organizations, and it will help him in his chaplain ministry. Fred has been serving as a volunteer Chaplain since 2009, and plans to continue this work as God leads and allows him to serve.
Fred Breedlove has been involved in short term missions since 2001, serving in Mexico, the U.S.A., Sri Lanka, and Kenya. Fred earned his HCMA Chaplain's Assistant Certificate in 2010, is an active volunteer with the American Red Cross (Community Partnerships Manager), a former volunteer with Snohomish County Search & Rescue (2009-2018), and is also a certified First Aid/CPR/AED instructor for the American Red Cross. Fred has served as an Elder at Mountain View Community Church (MVCC) in Snohomish, WA, and as a co-leader for the Christian Outreach Ministry at MVCC. One of the ways that Fred is helping within his own community is by providing American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED training to people in his church and community at or below the actual cost for the training. Fred has been providing First Aid/CPR and Disaster Preparedness training at no cost to the students in Kenya, Mexico, and Sri Lanka since 2010.
Missions of Hope adheres to the same values as the American Red Cross and International Red Cross - helping others with no no discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. Missions of Hope is not connected or sponsored in any way to the American Red Cross, other than the sharing of common beliefs and principles and the fact that Fred is also a volunteer with the American Red Cross. The people helped by Missions of Hope include people of all faiths, including Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, and others. Fred has lived and worked side by side with people of all of these religions, and has compassion and respect for all people groups. In addition to volunteering with organizations in the United States, Fred is also a life member of the Sri Lanka YMCA and a life member of the Kenya Red Cross Society.
You can partner with Fred in Missions of Hope projects worldwide, and he is available to help you lead mission teams to locations around the world. Fred's experience leading Christian missions teams, and his contacts with churches, YMCA's, and other Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO's) around the world can be an asset to help you, your church, or organization to help you in the mission field to make a positive difference in the lives of people in need worldwide.

Financial support for this ministry is strictly through donations and Fred's limited personal finances. There has never been any corporate support for these missions, and Fred would like to express his sincere thanks to all of the friends, family, strangers, and churches which have supported Fred in these projects. Fred also gives special thanks to Mountain View Community Church and World Impact Network for their partnershhips and support over the years. Without all of this support, it would not have been possible to accomplish as much as we have in these Missions of Hope.
